2012 could be another year in which many area school districts ask voters for more money to run the schools.  Some are definitely planning on supplemental or plant facilities levies while others are definitely not.  Some are still undecided.

The Jerome School District is still undecided but could make a decision shortly.  Twin Falls School District won’t be asking for more money this go round.  Kimberly is undecided and Murtaugh is definitely going to be on the ballot in March.  The Times News quotes the Idaho Department of Education saying that most districts in the state do have supplemental levies at this time mainly due to the education cutbacks by the Idaho Legislature.  Since March school district budgets have been boosted by over $77-million dollars in monies approved by voters in individual districts.
