Southwest Idaho Man Pleads Guilty in 2 Separate Killings

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A 47-year-old Nampa man has pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder following the separate killings of two men.

The Idaho Statesman reports that Michael S. Dauber pleaded guilty Tuesday as part of a deal that dropped two first-degree murder charges that carried a possible death sentence. Authorities say that Dauber killed 25-year-old Joshua Reddington of Salmon in 2000 and 42-year-old Steven Kalogerakos in 2007.

Dauber was arrested in October 2014 following the discovery of Reddington's skeletal remains. Kalogerakos' dismembered body was found in late 2013 outside Idaho City in a sack in a shallow grave. Dauber is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 28. He faces up to life in prison.
