‘Spartacus: War of the Damned’ Premiere Clip: Will Gannicus Become A Leader?
We're just days away from the premiere of 'Spartacus: War of the Damned,' the highly-anticipated final season of Starz' gory historical drama, and already the blood is difficult to contain. In advance of the show's January 25 premiere, Starz has bled out the first official clip from the new season, putting in focus that the war between Spartacus' armies and the Romans may not be the only conflicts left to fight. Can Spartacus control his own army, or will the wily Gannicus be the one to lead? Get a sneak peek of 'Spartacus: War of the Damned' inside!
'Spartacus' will look drastically different when the show's final season premieres on Starz this Friday, as the armies of the rebellion have grown a thousand fold while Spartacus and his fellow gladiators prepare for battle against a Roman force unlike any they've ever faced. Yet with such an increased display of force, will Spartacus and his men effectively be able to lead?
Entertainment Weekly has obtained the first official clip from the upcoming season, which sees Spartacus (Liam McIntyre) attempting to rally Gannicus (Dustin Clare) into becoming a true leader, though Gannicus seeks only to honor the memory of his fallen friend Oenomaus. Will Gannicus step up as the season goes on, or will the promise of women and wine prove too tempting to pass up?
