Two men and a woman are behind bars in Jerome after a Sunday morning standoff that lasted several hours. The standoff started at 2 a.m. at a home at the intersection of Elm Street and D Avenue. It ended with the arrest of the three individuals at about 11 a.m.

Jerome Police Detective Dan Kennedy said an incident earlier that night led to the standoff.  He would not release further details Sunday night about what that incident involved. A few residents living directly across from the home said SWAT teams were called in and nearby residents  were awakened by police and advised to turn off their lights and evacuate. The standoff finally ended at about 11 a.m. Jerome Police have not released what charges the three individuals are facing. Kennedy said because the investigation is still ongoing, further details will not be released until sometime today.
