STAR, Idaho (AP) — A homeowner in southwestern Idaho called sheriff's deputies for help early Tuesday morning after he found his horse had fallen into the family pool.

The Ada County Sheriff's office says deputies responded to a home in Star at about 1:30 in the morning. The homeowners told deputies that they heard a loud noise in the backyard and went outside to find that their son's 28-year-old horse had fallen in the pool.

The horse was uninjured except for a scrape on its leg and appeared to be enjoying the soak, the sheriff's office said, because it didn't want to get out of the pool. Deputies say the owner was eventually able to coax the horse out and get it back inside a barn.
