Disney may not be making the case of the stolen, inflatable Santa into a Christmas Special any time soon, but this holiday story does have a happy ending.

A thief stole an inflatable Santa Claus and two inflatable penguins from James McClaren’s yard in Unionville, IN. With no way of tracking him or her, McClaren was out a Santa. Then on Saturday, someone left the Santa in his yard, in a trash bag, deflated with $100 and a note.

McClaren said the note made it clear that the person who returned the Santa was not the one who stole it. It did say,

Returning your property is the right thing to do, and apologies for the thief who took it in the first place.

The penguins are still missing, but McClaren is grateful to have the Santa back and said he will use the money to buy more decorations.
