KETCHUM, Idaho (AP) — A skier was injured after being partially buried by an avalanche near Sun Valley Resort in south-central Idaho. Blaine County Sheriff Gene Ramsey says the man suffered minor injuries in the slide at about noon Thursday on Bald Mountain. Rescuers pulled him from the snow, but remained on the mountain with him at about 2 p.m. Sun Valley Resort spokesman Jack Sibbach says the skier was not within the resort boundaries when the slide happened. The Sawtooth Avalanche Center's daily evaluation said the avalanche danger in the area was considerable and that human-triggered avalanches were likely on wind-loaded slopes.
