'Supernatural' announced today that the CW wouldn't quit trying for a spinoff after the failure of "Bloodlines," but the Winchester brothers have their own problems afoot by next week's season 9 finale "Do You Believe in Miracles?" The first finale sneak peek has arrived, and things don't look to have calmed down from the tense ending of this week's "Stairway to Heaven."

Following Dean's outburst against Gadreel (who remains conspicuously absent from the clip, with no mention of his current state), Sam and Castiel end up placing the embittered Dean in the same cell they'd once kept Crowley. Dean rightly points out that only he can use the weapon necessary to kill Metatron, but darn it if a bit of that ol' Winchester puppy dog doesn't shine through by the end.

Here's what The CW had to say of next Tuesday's 'Supernatural' season 9 finale "Do You Believe in Miracles?"

THE SHOCKING SEASON FINALE — Dean (Jensen Ackles) feels the effects of the First Blade, and Metatron (guest star Curtis Armstrong) makes his move against humanity. Meanwhile, Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean and Castiel (Misha Collins) face shocking consequences when taking the fight to Metatron (guest star Curtis Armstrong).

Well, what do we think? We know Castiel will be back for next year, and we'd seriously doubt if either of the Winchesters end up gone for good, but will the angel war come to an end with next week's finale? Watch the first clip above, and give us your 'Supernatural' season finale predictions in the comments!
