The suspect in the shooting death of a 22-year-old female graduate near the University of Idaho campus was found dead in a hotel room this morning morning from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  Moscow Police Lt. Dave Lehmitz says an arrest warrant had been issued Monday night for Ernesto A. Bustamante, who previously worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology and Communications at the University of Idaho.  Police say officers were sent to a home at about 8:40 p.m. Monday to investigate a report of a shooting. They found 22-year-old Katy Benoit dead inside the residence. The investigation led police to serve a warrant at a room at the University Inn Best Western hotel at 7:45 a.m. yesterday, where officer discovered the body of Bustamante. Police say Benoit was from the Boise area and has family living there. It’s not clear yet what relationship the two had, or if Benoit was ever Bustamante’s student.
