CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — Idaho's wine grape crop is rebounding after a small harvest in 2015. The Capital Press reports that a November 2014 freeze sharply reduced the amount of wine grapes available in 2015.
Not only is the cool west spring delaying or even postponing outdoor recreation activities it’s also causing havoc with southern Idaho farmers. The Times News reports today that because of the weather the first cutting of alfalfa hay has been delayed significantly. This not only delays the delivery of much needed livestock feed but it will push back subsequent cuttings of hay and could result in the loss of at least one cutting later this year.
