This is especially true of an accident many years ago that involved a mother and infant killed near Filer. On the night of June 20, 2016, Deven Schulz of Jerome and her boyfriend, Baily Hesley of Nampa, were driving at the intersection of 200 N and 300 W. According to police reports, their vehicle failed to yield at that stop sign and was hit by another vehicle in the driver's side door. Deven and Baily were pronounced dead at the scene.
