UPDATE: Fire crews have been able to contain 80% of the fire as of Sunday morning. There are about 83 people working on the blaze that sparked ahead of the weekend. Officials say the fire grew little in the last several days. At this time it has burned roughly 300 acres.
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSTV) - Sunday afternoon the twin falls district of the bureau of land management was spraying down the last of the hot spots at the nearly 400 acre hub butte fire.
UPDATE: The fire burning south of Kimberly is now contained and expected to be fully controlled by this afternoon. The fire is only smoldering at this point according to BLM officials. Meanwhile crews quickly responded to a fire near Vineyard Lake west of the
Garden of Eden truck stop. A single engine is working on the two acre fire and is expected to be contained later today.
UPDATE: Interstate 84 reopened Tuesday after 5 p.m., and as of 9 p.m. the fire had burned roughly 3,000 acres.
