Fire Shuts Down I-84

(KLIX)-Officials had to shut down Interstate 84 near Mountain Home. The Benwalk Fire burned along the interstate from Exit 90 to Exit 122 near Hammett. I-84 was closed for about 4 1/2 hours on Monday afternoon while Bureau of Land Management and emergency personnel battled the fire

Dust Storm Causes 18-Vehicle Pileup On I-84

The Idaho State Police along with Jerome and Minidoka County deputies worked into the late evening Wednesday clearing wreckage from Interstate 84. There were a total of 18 vehicles involved in crashes over a seven mile stretch of the interstate near Paul. A storm front with high winds moved through that area shortly after 5 o’clock yesterday afternoon churning up dust from freshly tilled fields in the area making visibility very difficult.
