When a Twin Falls couple went into Idaho’s high backcountry for Memorial Day weekend, they never expected to see miracles – but they claim that's exactly what they experienced.
Elmore County authorities say they used GPS, 4x4s, drones and eventually a helicopter to locate hikers that had gotten lost in a mountainous area during the weekend.
A 14 year-old boy has been safely rescued from Pillar Falls. According to Lori Stewart with the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Department, the boy caught his foot in the rocks and several people helped to keep his head above the water.
Several agencies assisted in rescuing a woman out of the canyon in the Devil's Corral area. The call for service came when a citizen noticed a woman 100 to 150 yards down acting suspicious.
