March 19, 2012 Some areas of the state are dealing with warmer temperatures and precipitation which is causing some flooding in low-lying areas. A flood-watch was in effect over the weekend in eastern Idaho. In Dubois and throughout Fremont County on Sunday, the extra moisture was hampering an effort to hold back flood waters. Flooding has affected the area for several days. Pools of water are overtaking roadways and spilling into fields.
March 5, 2012 (AP) -Debate will continue today over whether the Idaho Department of Fish and Game should be able to dictate where ATV-mounted hunters can pursue big game. The House Resources Committee is considering a bill that would strip the agency's authority to limit hunting from vehicles to established roads in designated areas.

At its regular meeting last night the City Council expressed interest in hearing from city residents about an idea to raise the assessment to possibly as high as $12 dollars per $150,000 valuation, bring in an extra $380,000 to the city coffers to be earmarked for road maintenance
