Crews are cleaning the scene of a blaze that broke out about 1 a.m. today in Sandpoint, Idaho. So far the fire has caused millions of dollars in damage and destroyed several businesses.
A suspect died and two police officers were wounded in a shootout early Monday in the lakeside Idaho resort town of Sandpoint, authorities said. The shootout happened at about 3 a.m. after the officers responded to a call from a home and started talking with the person who made the call, Sandpoint Police Chief Corey Coon told reporters.
