There Is Some Sort Of Big Day Today For Idaho GOP

It's a historic 'first' for the Gem State as Idaho's GOP  hosts the state's 2012 Republican Presidential Caucus. Those attending will get a chance to pick Idaho's GOP front-runner from candidates Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, or former Louisiana Governor Buddy Roemer.

Idaho Caucus Is Tomorrow

Idaho's first Republican presidential caucus is tomorrow as GOP stalwarts choose a challenger for Democratic President Barack Obama come November.

Historically, Idaho held a May GOP presidential primary.  But the state Republican Party this year opted to move up its selection process two full months by joining nine other states holding "Super Tuesday" nominating contests.

Idaho’s Super Tuesday Countdown Continues

Super Tuesday is less than a week away. Hundreds are expected to attend the Republican caucus in Twin Falls County at the Canyon Ridge High School. As many as 10,000 people are expected in Taco Bell Arena, at the Ada County site. Thousands are also expected to fill up the Idaho Center, the Canyon County caucus site.
