Twin Falls Plans For The Future
The process of planning what Twin Falls will look like several years down the road started with a special meeting last night. It’s called the “Imagine Twin Falls Community Visioning Event.” About 50 area residents attended the meeting along with city officials to discuss several aspects of the city such as roads, infrastructure and future growth.
TF City Council To Discuss Possible Appeal Of Canyon Park Development
The Twin Falls City Council will discuss the possibility of appealing a recent city Planning and Zoning approval of a preliminary plat for the proposed Canyon Park Development project. Developers are planning on building a small shopping mall on the empty lot between The Golden Corral Restaurant and the Snake River Canyon Rim.
Twin Falls Man Victim Of Boise Shooting
The Boise Police Department has released surveillance video that caught a shooting on camera in downtown Boise early Sunday morning. The images show the suspects but not the victim who KTVB is reporting was a Twin Falls man who was shot in the leg. However, police have not released the victim’s name.
Proposed Retail Mall In Twin Falls Crosses One More Hurdle
There may soon be a new shopping mall in Twin Falls. This one will be located along the Snake River Canyon Rim west of the Perrine Bridge and north of the Golden Corral Restaurant. Last night the Twin Falls City Council approved a change that will allow for the development of the shopping center. The vote, however, was not unanimous, at 5 in favor and two against.

City Council To Hand Out Grants
There are some services that Twin Falls city could provide but for one reason or another either can’t or doesn’t. That leaves opportunities for other organizations to provide the services. And to help with those opportunities the city hands out grants to help the organizations provide those services. The end result is that the services get provided at sometimes a big cost savings to the city. The grants are called Municipal Powers Outsource Grant Funding.

St. Patricks Day Parade Saturday
The annual St. Patrick’s Day parade is scheduled for tomorrow and there will be some road closures in the area as a result. The Twin Falls Police say Main Ave. from the 600 Block East to Main Ave. North and Dierkes Street will be closed for the parade beginning at 11:30 a.m. and will reopen after the parade around 1 p.m.
