TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) On Monday one of three new schools was dedicated in the Twin Falls School District.

Students, teachers, parents, community members and public officials attended the ribbon cutting of Rock Creek Elementary School located in the northwest part of Twin Falls. The school district is expecting a little less than 9,200 students this school year. Out of those, about 500 are enrolled at Rock Creek Elementary.

The new school is designed to accommodate 650. The other elementary, Pillar Falls, will have also have about 500 enrolled with room to grow to 650 students.

The South Hills Middle School, when complete next year, will hold 1,000 students. It is estimated to have anywhere from 700 to 750 students enroll in 2017 based on numbers from the school district.
