Taking Flight Above the Mountains of Idaho and Wales

A friend of mine from broadcast days spent many years doing traffic reports from choppers and planes.  He can’t get enough of flying and sent me this link to a video from Wales.  The USAF and RAF are practicing mountain flying.  It reminds me much of the pictures I’ve seen of pilots from Mountain Home testing nearby mountain ranges.

I can tell you I’d like to take a picnic basket and spend an afternoon on that Welsh mountaintop.  Two years ago a friend of mine who served long ago with the Thunderbirds took me to see the team fly at Ocean City, Maryland.  The flight demonstration above the Atlantic is thrilling.  I think Mountain Home would offer an entirely new experience!
