KUNA, Idaho (AP) — Police in Kuna say three young girls caused about $15,000 in damages by throwing white and brown paint inside a southwest Idaho home under construction.

KBOI-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1n3pqa8) in a story on Tuesday that the girls ages 10, 12 and 13 put the paint on walls, countertops, light fixtures, cabinets, floors, windows and ceilings.

Police say they used evidence at the home following the vandalism last month to identify the girls.

Authorities say the girls won't be charged with malicious injury to property if they and their families pay for damages and complete a diversion program.
