‘The Great Gatsby’ Posters: The DiCaprio-Led Cast Is Dripping With Swag
The dazzling trailer for Baz Luhrmann's 'The Great Gatsby' sashayed online just yesterday, and if it whet your appetite for the world of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic, there's another treat from the Warner Bros. release waiting for you today -- six brand-new posters we've collected featuring all of the main characters!
Below you'll see the latest 'Great Gatsby' posters of Leonardo Dicaprio (as the "hero," Jay Gatsby), Carey Mulligan (as Jay's object of affection, Daisy Buchanan), Tobey Maguire (as Nick Carraway), Joel Edgerton (as the wealthy philanderer Tom Buchanan), Elizabeth Debicki (as Jordan Baker) and Isla Fisher (as Myrtle Wilson). Aren't they all about as glamorous and pretty as can be?
As noted many times prior to today, the film was originally scheduled for release next week, but Warner Bros. decided to stretch out our anticipation until the spring. The wait looks like it will be worth it, but we've still five months to go before we can join the party.
'The Great Gatsby' follows Fitzgerald-like, would-be writer Nick Carraway as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands in Long Island next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy, and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan. It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super-rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles.
The film opens in 3D and 2D on May 10th, but until then, bask in the glory of these new 'Great Gatsby' posters below.
