I believe there is a war on Christmas.  I just believe it’s more subtle than many of us expect.

Sometimes we’re conditioned to look for offense where there isn’t any attempt

A writer at the Resurgent is today warning us not to cry wolf.  Starbucks new “holiday” cups are out and some warn the cups celebrate lesbianism.  I agree with the writer.  It’s more than a bit of a stretch.

Sometimes we’re conditioned to look for offense where there isn’t any attempt, however.

The real war on Christmas is the persistent war on Christianity.  Just ask the cake bakers and wedding photographers with ruined lives because they won’t condone same-sex weddings.

Christmas celebration is another matter.  Liberals like to claim we’re exaggerating because stores are filled with decorations and there are lights and trees at every turn.  The trees, lights and tinsel aren’t biblical.  In fact, Christmas is now celebrated in many parts of Asia where nary a Christian is found.  Even a Muslim friend of mine loves the celebration but he’s got no use for the Christian faith.
