You've probably heard about the Tuesday morning shooting at Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Oregon.  The gunman killed one student and injured a teacher, and police say he then took his own life.

Gun safety organization Everytown calculates that there have been 74 school shootings just since Sandy Hook in 2012.

Everytown reports:

Incidents were classified as school shootings when a firearm was discharged inside a school building or on school or campus grounds, as documented in publicly reported news accounts. This includes assaults, homicides, suicides, and accidental shootings. Incidents in which guns were brought into schools but not fired there, or were fired off school grounds after having been possessed in schools, were not included.

The last shooting in Idaho was in 1999 in Notus when a 15 year old boy fired two rounds from a shotgun he got from home.  No one was seriously physically harmed in that incident.
