USA Today has one of the most prestigious best cities to live in list that they release every year. They've just updated it and there's an Idaho city in the list and it's not Boise, but it's close.

There's a 24% population growth over the last 5 years, but still very low unemployment. That's quite a combination.

Congrats to Meridian for being named the 25th best city to live in for the entire United States. That's a nice honor. The USA Today ranking listed the top 50 cities and Meridian landed right in the middle.

The reasons why Meridian made the list are not a surprise. There's a 24% population growth over the last 5 years, but still very low unemployment. That's quite a combination.

There are some other cities in our part of the country that were also included in the best cities list. Layton, Utah came in at #49, Orem at #47 and South Jordan at #46.

One more thing. Whoever put Maple Grove, Minnesota in this list above Meridian has never endured a Minnesota winter. Really.
