MERIDIAN, Idaho (KLIX) – Tickets for the free public open house of the new LDS temple in Meridian will be available beginning later this month.

Tickets will be available online beginning Sept. 25.

The temple, which started being built in August 2014, will be viewed by the public from Oct. 21 through Nov. 11. The dedication will take place in three sessions on Nov. 19.

The Meridian Idaho Temple was announced by LDS Church President Thomas S. Monson at the Church’s April 2011 general conference, and ground broke for the building on Aug. 23, 2014.

This will be the Church’s fifth temple in Idaho. Others in the Gem State include Twin Falls, Boise, Rexburg, and Idaho Falls. A sixth temple, in Pocatello, also has been announced.

According to the Church, Idaho is home to some 426,000 Latter-day Saints.
