TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- A popular watering hole in Twin Falls could lose its ability to serve alcohol. The Pioneer Club on Kimberly Road is facing a revocation of its liquor license after a violation in building code and could be shut down.

City staff told Twin Falls City Council the owner Marv Pierce had originally submitted paperwork to build storage onto the bar. The owner admitted he changed his mind part way and decided to make it bar space. Now city staff says that space doesn't meet code and deemed the bar unsafe for occupancy. The violation in code could be cause to revoke the Pioneer Club’s alcohol license.

Twin Falls City Council may review the liquor license up November 25th. However, the council told the Pioneer owner that they would give him and city staff some flexibility to work with the building code official to work out the issue before they make any decision on the alcohol license.
