Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Shift changes and eliminating redundant positions are happening this Tuesday at the Chobani plant in Twin Falls.
A company spokesperson confirms it was a small number of individuals.

The following is a statement issued by the company this Tuesday morning.

“We are a young company that has grown very quickly and after a thorough and comprehensive review of our business, we made the very difficult but necessary decision to operate our plant at its original design and eliminate certain positions as we transition from four 12-hour shifts, seven-days a week, to a more standard three eight-hour shifts, five days a week. The majority of these positions are temporary support that was initially required to ramp up the facility in its first year. Competing in today’s environment requires the right operational structure, and the changes we are making today position us to continue to lead the yogurt category and invest in our future. Twin Falls remains vitally important to us and we will continue to invest in our facility and support the local community."
