Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Due to recent incidents of dog’s at large attacking people and other animals, the city of Twin Falls would like to educate owners before an incident occurs or pets are impounded.

Anthony Barnhart with the Twin Falls Police Department gave an update to the city council Monday evening regarding the cities leash laws.

"Really it comes down to dog owners or animal owners keeping their animals or their dogs contained. That's the simplest thing that we can do as a community is keep your dog on a leash if you're out walking it or keep it in a fenced yard,” said Josh Palmer with the city of Twin Falls.

After losing one to retirement the Twin Falls Police Department is now in the process of hiring a second animal control officer.
