Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The Twin Falls City Council is waving building permit fees for three new buildings and upgrades within the school district.

Monday the city council voted unanimously to waive the fee estimated at $295,000 in exchange for the Sunway Soccer Complex. The soccer complex estimated value is just over $300,000. Waving the fee is something Superintendent of Schools Wiley Dobbs says isn't uncommon for the two government agencies.

Dr. Dobbs pointed out the fee would have just moved tax payer dollars from one agency to the next. The school district will still however pay impact fees estimated at close to $180,000.
