TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- Twin Falls County hopes to make improvements to its waterways with the help from state grants. This week the county commissioners put in for three grants totaling $27,800. The county would pay the difference for the three projects which is $8,700. One is to install special kayak launch site at Centennial Park, the other boat docks at Murtaugh Lake and one grant would help pay for a special trailer for ATV’s for search and rescue. Commissioner Terry Kramer says the money would come from various state programs that collect fees for boating, trials and off-road vehicles. Kramer says they hope to know by March or April if they’ve gotten the grants.
