Twin Falls County could conceivably have a budget just under $38-million dollars for the coming fiscal year.  Twin Falls County Commissioners received a preliminary copy of the proposed budget this week.  The $37.98-million dollar proposed budget constitutes an increase of about two and a half percent over the current budget although that figure could decrease.  The Times News reports that the county would absorb an eight percent increase in health care insurance costs.  Much of the increase is attributed to things outside the county’s control such as fuel costs.  County Commissioners say the majority of the budget will come from places other than taxes.  The county expects to collect about $18.2-million dollars in property taxes this coming fiscal year.
