a Twin Falls man blacked out while smoking a synthetic marijuana substance and drove his vehicle into a house. No one was injured during the incident Monday. Police say 24-year-old Casey McElliot was cited for reckless driving. A preliminary investigation by the Twin Falls Police Department found McElliot had been smoking a product called Hayze  and blacked out just before striking the house. Idaho has outlawed chemicals used to make synthetic marijuana substance called "Spice," which is marketed as incense or potpourri. The plant matter is sprayed with a manmade  version of THC, the naturally occurring chemical that gives marijuana smokers a high. A legal brand of the substance, called Hayze, is produced and sold in Twin Falls.
