Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - A Twin Falls man was charged in court Friday with poaching. Thirty–three year old Jacob Pool was arraigned on three separate charges.

These include two felony charges of releasing into the wild of a certain species without a permit and destruction, alteration, or concealment of evidence. Lastly, he was charged with unlawful taking of game animals, birds or furbearers, which is a misdemeanor. The incident is in regards to the killing of a buck near Rock Creek Park on January 26th.

An investigation was launched after a man reported a dead deer along Rock Creek Canyon. Pool's house was searched in February and DNA testing eventually linked him to the crime. Another hearing is scheduled for June 5th.
