BOISE, Idaho (KLIX) A Twin Falls man with a history of distributing drugs is looking at seven years behind bars on charges stemming from 2014.

According to the U.S. Attorney's office, Judge Edward Lodge sentenced Matthew John Mingoia Jr, 62, for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Mingoia is also required to serve three years of supervised release once he gets out of prison. Mingoia pleaded guilty earlier this year. In 2014 Idaho State Police learned Mingoia had been selling meth in the Twin Falls area.

When police searched his residence various items including meth and other items were found. Judge Lodge said Mingoia's habitual offender with multiple prior felony drug convictions factored into his sentencing. Mingoia has previous drug convictions dating from 1999.
