Police say a southern Idaho woman has been arrested on a felony warrant about a month after her child wandered into a Boise restaurant searching for food. Twin Falls Police have released the name of the officer involved in an April 5 shootout with a man who police say tried to ram a patrol car after being cornered on a dead-end street during a traffic stop. The Times-News reports Twin Falls Police Chief Brian Pike identified the officer as Isaiah Day, a K9 officer who has been on the force since 2005. He was placed on administrative leave after the April 5 shooting. Capt. Matt Hicks says Day returned to work on April 18th. Authorities say Lee Randall Fife fled a traffic stop, became cornered on a dead-end street and was shot as he drove toward a patrol car. He remains jailed on $50,000 bail. A preliminary court hearing was postponed until May.
