Leaders in Twin Falls County say they're not entirely pleased with the state's new map of legislative districts, but they're not going to try to have it tossed by the state's highest court. Twin Falls County Commissioners voted yesterday not to pursue legal action over the redistricting map approved last week by a bipartisan commission.

Earlier this month, the county successfully led the legal fight that prompted the Idaho Supreme Court to toss out a redistricting plan approved by the commission in October. Twin Falls County leaders claimed the first map divided the county into three districts, putting voters at a disadvantage. The map approved last week also splits the county into three districts. Commissioners say even though the new map isn't perfect, it's more acceptable than the old one.
