Twin Falls Police Make Arrest In Sprint Store Burglery

Police say 20 year old Omar Padilla has been arrested under suspicion of stealing numerous cell phones from a Blue Lakes Boulevard Sprint store.

Police were summoned to the  store last Friday morning. The basement door to the  store had been kicked open as well as a window had been broken on the north side of the building. Someone had taken several phones as well as cash from the cash drawer.

Over the past several days, with the assistance of a tracking application on one of the phones, police were able to locate a male named Omar Padilla using one of the stolen phones. Officers also located another cell phone on Padilla that was stolen from the same place. A search of Padilla’s girlfriend’s house turned up a bag full of stolen cell phones.

Padilla has been arrested for possession of stolen property.
