Republican Representative Jim Patrick of Twin Falls  has declared his intention to run for the District 25 Idaho Senate seat in this year's election.  Patrick, who has served in the House since 2006, Tells the Times- News he decided to run for the vacant seat after looking at the new map of Idaho legislative districts approved Friday. This will be Patrick's second bid for the Idaho Senate; he lost his 2002 campaign.  Barring a legal challenge, the new legislative map is expected to be approved soon.
