It may come as no surprise that the Twin Falls School District is growing.  School Superintendent Wiley Dobbs reported to the school board Monday that there are more students enrolled in classes in the Twin Falls School District now than ever before, setting a new record at 7,912 students.

He says typically the enrollment grows around 1 to 2 percent a year.  This year there are about 200 more students enrolled in the district than last year, based on enrollment as of Sept. 23rd.  Dobbs says it’s not a priority right now but maybe within ten years the district may have to consider the construction of a new middle school.  Right now the most students, 673, are enrolled in kindergarten classes.
