CALDWELL, Idaho (KLIX) A truck driver from Twin Falls was sent to the hospital after a car traveling on Interstate 84 crossed the median and hit her truck Wednesday north of Caldwell. Alicia Osuna Portillo, 51, was driving a Peterbilt truck west at around 4 p.m. when a Subaru sedan going east, driven by Michael McLachlan, 50, of Nampa, crossed the median and hit the truck. According to Idaho State Police, McLachlan lost control of the car. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, but had to be taken to area hospitals. Part of I-84 for westbound traffic was closed for about five hours.
