Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The Twin Falls City Council approved an update to the Food Truck Ordinance tonight. The ordinance outlines city policies on mobile food vendors, such as where they can be parked and for how long.

Community members were asked to voice their opinion in a public forum before the vote.  Now that the new guidelines for mobile food trucks are in place, it will change the way some of the local vendors operate. Twin Falls Mayor Don Hall said, "We've had a lot of these trucks around town that were stationary.

They stayed there forever in competition with restaurants and not having to fulfill what restaurants would have to fulfill on ordinances, rules and regulations. So they'll have to move." Following the public hearing the council approved the ordinance with a 5-2 vote.
