Twin Falls Woman Pleads Guilty To Embezzlement

A Twin Falls woman accused of stealing money from her former employer has entered a guilty plea to a charge of grand theft.  57 year old Marie Watkins entered the plea Monday in Twin Falls County 5th District Court.  Company officials of  the Twin Falls branch of Alliance Title and Escrow of Boise discovered after an internal investigation that over $366,000 dollars was missing from the company.  Watkins allegedly admitted that she took the money over the past several years.  Sentencing is scheduled for June 11th.  Watkins could be sentenced to up to 14 years in prison.
