BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Police in Boise arrested two men on suspicion of stealing a taxi cab at gunpoint early yesterday. The driver called police just before midnight Wednesday to report he'd been robbed and his cab stolen. Police spokeswoman Lynn Hightower says officers located the stolen cab a short time later.

The suspects rammed four police vehicles during the pursuit and one of the suspects was taken to the hospital. Twenty-year-old Dustin Meuser and 25-year-old Justin Cosner were arrested on suspicion of armed robbery, grand theft and kidnapping while Meuser also faces five counts of aggravated assault on a police officer and eluding police.

Hightower says three Boise patrol cars sustained significant damage, as did the stolen cab. Another taxi was reported stolen by two armed men Tuesday. It was recovered Wednesday. Officers don't know if the thefts are related.
