UPDATED: NOTUS, Idaho (KLIX) State police investigated two deadly crashes during the weekend one involving a semi truck. According to Idaho State Police, a man died late Sunday night on US 20 near Notus in a head on crash with a semi.

Police say a newer Kia sedan crossed the center line and hit a semi truck causing both vehicles to catch fire. The driver of the truck had his seat belt on and didn't need to be taken to the hospital. The driver of the car, Keagan Brixey, 20, of Parma, wasn't wearing a belt and thrown out, killing them at the scene.

Meanwhile, ISP investigated another single car crash on Saturday near Emmett early Saturday morning. Investigators say David Tellez, 33, of Payette, died after his car rolled; he did not have a seat belt and died after being thrown from the car.
