TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – Two people were taken to the hospital this morning after their vehicle collided with a horse on U.S. Highway 93.

The incident happened a little before 6:30 a.m. on Highway 93 between 3700 North and 3800 North, according to the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s office.

The horse was killed on impact, the Sheriff's Office wrote on its Facebook page, and two individuals – the driver of the minivan and a passenger – were taken to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

"Please be cautious on our roads," the Sheriff's Office posted, "things can change at any minute."
