The Idaho State Police report an accident late last night on US Highway 93 near Jerome sent two people to the hospital with serious injuries.  The accident happened around 11:13 last night.   Idaho State Police say 40 year old Ken Kuntz of Hazelton, the driver of a blue 2003 Ford pickup, was stopped in a construction zone.  24 year old Clint Beal of Hansen, the driver of a green 2003 Ford Windstar, was stopped behind the Ford pickup.  23 year old Victor Pineda of Grandview, driving a black 1995 Honda Accord, struck the Ford Windstar and pushed that vehicle into the Ford pickup.  Pineda was not wearing his seatbelt, sustained significant injuries, and was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke’s, Magic Valley in Twin Falls.  Beal was not seriously injured but a small child in his vehicle was.   The child was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke’s, Magic Valley in Twin Falls.  There were five occupants in the Ford Windstar. None of the other occupants were seriously hurt.  Kuntz did sustain minor injuries, and was taken to St. Luke’s, Magic Valley.   Police say weather was not a factor.  The left lane on northbound US Highway 93 was closed for approximately 2 hours.
