Idaho State Police say a one-vehicle crash east of Moscow this weekend killed two University of Idaho freshmen and injured four others. The ISP identified the victims of the crash as 17-year-old Wyatt T. Smith of St. Anthony and 18-year-old Benson J. Sternberg of New Plymouth. Officials say Smith was driving a pickup truck southbound near Troy when he lost control of the vehicle at 3:45 a.m. Saturday. The pickup hit an embankment and rolled once. The crash also injured three 19-year-olds -- Clinton H. Johnson of Clarkston, Zachary U. Blank of Idaho Falls and Tiffany I. Arreola of New Plymouth -- along with 18-year-old Stephanie M. Brede of St. Maries. The Moscow-Pullman Daily News reports all four were treated at the hospital in Moscow and released.
