HAZELTON, Idaho (KLIX)-A Burley resident had to be taken to the hospital after having to avoid another vehicle along Interstate 84 near Hazelton Sunday afternoon.

According to Idaho State Police Guillermina Romero-Hernanadez, 44, was headed west in a Pontiac Aztek when a vehicle pulling a trailer made an unsafe lane change. Romero-Hernandez went into the median, attempted to get back on the roadway and over-corrected. Her vehicle rolled into the median.

ISP say Amer Christenson, 17, of Fruitland, Idaho, was driving the vehicle pulling the trailer and was not reported to be injured. Romero-Hernandez had to be taken by air ambulance to an Eastern Idaho hospital. Everyone involved in the crash had been wearing seat-belts. Part of the eastbound lane was blocked for about three hours while emergency crews worked the scene.
