The following events will take place at The College of Southern Idaho:

• The free, monthly Star Party at the Herrett Center is this Saturday from 9 to midnight. The second Saturday of every month, the Herrett Center gives you a chance to do some free stargazing with local astronomy experts and hobbyists in its Centennial Observatory. Since the Herrett Center will be closed at 9 p.m., just come in the door below the big dome on the rooftop and walk up to the observatory any time between 9 and midnight.
• One of the best art shows of the year is coming up. The CSI Student Art Show will be unveiled between 7 and 9 p.m. next Tuesday in the Herrett Center’s Jean B. King Gallery. Each year, the best student art projects from among those enrolled in our various art classes are displayed for a few weeks at the end of the school year. Come have some punch and cookies and visit with the student artists – from 7 to 9 p.m. next Tuesday in the Herrett Center’s art gallery. It’s free of charge.
• The annual Danny Marona Performing Arts Scholarship competition is next Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the CSI Fine Arts Auditorium. High School seniors from around the valley will be demonstrating their talents and competing for scholarships. This event will be hosted, once again, by Danny Marona himself. If you’re a student, you’re admitted free of charge. Tickets for adults are $10 each.
